Breaking!!! A US Navy detection system picked up the implosion DAYS AGO
Like many predicted, the submarine imploded hours after taking off. They probably never even made it to see the Titanic as the debris found was about halfway down only.

Would there even be bodies left to recover after something like that, or are they pretty much fish flakes at that point?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 22, 2023 11:44 PM |
R1 DEAR GOD. There would be no bodies after being inside something that implodes, no.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 22, 2023 11:47 PM |
The detection technology we fund do not avert anything. Just cushy jobs + tech to brag about!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 22, 2023 11:48 PM |
Does that make sense? Any civil engineer here? I understand an explosion making a detectable noise, but an implosion or a crush? If yes, this must be incredibly sensitive.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 23, 2023 12:08 AM |
R4 the Navy has listening stations all over the worlds oceans listening for foreign subs and can pinpoint “normal” sounds from thousands of miles away from triangulation. An implosion can’t go undetected.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 23, 2023 12:11 AM |
The SOSUS system has been operational since the 80s. If they can hear an electric motor, they can hear a sub bursting.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 23, 2023 12:12 AM |
So why wasn't this announced a few days ago? Because the media wanted bums on seats and the various militaries / government entities relished the opportunity to use their expensive yet dusty equiptment in an "emergency" and thereby guarantee a raise in funding come next budget review?
Because that is now what it sounds like.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 23, 2023 12:14 AM |
Reportedly the support ship also heard the sounds at the same time their communication was cut off.
Per the CNN article it sounds like they went back and reviewed audio from Sunday and realized the noise was likely an implosion, then told the Coast Guard about it while they were searching for the sub. It's probably not likely that anyone on duty realized what the noise was at the time they heard it.

At 5,500 pounds per square inch pressure exerted by the ocean at the depth of 3,800m, I'm a VERY skinny lady.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 23, 2023 12:15 AM |
So this whole "Are they alive" circus was some kind of media distraction thing? WTF?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 23, 2023 12:21 AM |
So why did they let all those rescuers waste a fortune looking for something that no longer existed?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 23, 2023 12:22 AM |
No r11. They needed to confirm what happened. They can’t just say “an implosion happened” and then they find out it wasn’t the case.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 23, 2023 12:22 AM |
They knew since Sunday that it had exploded. Motherfuckers.
Offsite Linkby Anonymous | reply 14 | June 23, 2023 12:24 AM |
Can people stop with the conspiracy nonsense? The debris they found TODAY confirmed that what they heard Sunday was probably the implosion.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 23, 2023 12:31 AM |
Because sadly we can not trust the media on anything they report. Trump made false news a reality. They are corrupt.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 23, 2023 12:37 AM |
Even if the navy heard an explosion/implosion on Sunday, waiting for debris proof made sense, especially when the window of oxygen supply was still open. I do wonder though exactly when the debris was found. It’s rather tidy that the debris was found the same day the oxygen was due to run out. I don’t think there was any grand conspiracy, just that there was a lot going on behind the scenes. They must have wanted to be as definitive as possible for the families’ sake.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 23, 2023 1:19 AM |
R18 it was found today because they finally sent down the robot to find out what was going on. The robot spotted the debris about halfway down
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 23, 2023 1:22 AM |
That is one very rich wife/mother.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 23, 2023 1:37 AM |
R19 Do you know if the robot was one of the resources that had to travel to the scene and unavailable sooner?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 23, 2023 1:52 AM |
Were the passengers obsessed with the Titanic for no particular reason or deep down did they somehow know they would die in a somewhat similar way in the exact same spot, thus the fascination?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 23, 2023 2:03 AM |
While articles say that it would happen in 1/20 of a second, it makes it sound like they went from no pressure to implosion pressure instantly. Is that really how it works?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 23, 2023 2:13 AM |
R23 yes. The lower you get into the ocean the stronger the pressure gets and the colder the water gets. That’s why humans can’t go too deep. They would die instantly. And that’s why the submarine has to be bolted shut. The pressure will keep pressing on the submarine trying to break in. If there is a little hole or anything where pressure can get in it will automatically implode. Also, if the machine is not built strong enough it can implode, being crushed by the pressure of the ocean.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 23, 2023 2:17 AM |
R22 millions of people are obsessed with the Titanic still and would probably love to see the actual Titanic and not some replica if possible. Only the rich can though. If it was cheap and available to the everyday man you know many would go.

There was a catastrophic accident years ago that killed three Navy divers and I can't remember the name of it. Does anyone remember this?

Someone else just posted it on another thread:

R28 Are you thinking of the Byford Dolphin incident? 3 divers in the chamber that "explosively decompressed"

The submersible was made from carbon fiber, when it should have been made from steel. It did have a small porthole window which was not rated for the depth they went to, and that’s likely what failed and caused the implosion. A secret US Navy ship picked up and identified the sound of the implosion immediately but apparently didn’t want to confirm it publicly for security reasons, although it’s entirely possible that that was made up and the media knew all along that the possibility of finding survivors was just a lie and a hoax. I don’t trust any media outlet at this point. They’re all controlled by either governments or billionaires and all bury the most important stories, like climate collapse, but also what’s happening with gender ideology, Covid, etc.
I feel bad for the 19 year old, who was reportedly terrified and only went to please his father for Father’s Day, but honestly their deaths would have happened so fast and without any warning: the implosion would have crushed them so completely that they didn’t have the time to realize what was happening or to suffer at all. It’s a hell of a lot better than slowly suffocating in freezing total darkness for four days.
And it’s a hell of a lot better than the fate suffered by the ~500 people, mostly women and children, who were locked inside the belly of that overcrowded fishing boat last week and all drowned in what must have been unimaginably terrifying conditions. My empathy goes to them. The rich bastards (except for the 19 year old) all chose their own fate.

I knew it! I said it on Twitter…or maybe here. They were dead, the coast guard knew they were dead. They had to go out and make a show of search and rescue. The media played it up for a few days and then the coast guard said “Aiight, that’s it. We got a pic of crap on the ocean floor, the media has had its fun. Time to put it to bed.”
The first day the coast guard went out there, UK media was having a fit because UK had some kind of thing that could go down deep and the US coast guard was like, “Nah. We don’t need it.” Why would they refuse if there was a chance it might have rescued the occupants? Because Coast Guard knew they were dead.

The sister of the young man killed told the BBC that her brother didn’t want to go on this expedition but did so for his dad,as it was Father’s Day. Apparently the father had been obsessed with the Titanic since childhood. Just awful.

R30- Yes, thank you. If you are not sensitive you can read about the gruesome damage an implosion does to a human body. They felt nothing and had no time to comprehend what was happening.

Sad, Sorrowful, Heartbreaking. They are all just ghosts in the water 💧... :-/

[quote]The lower you get into the ocean the stronger the pressure gets and the colder the water gets.
Right, but this was my point. The pressure builds as they get lower. It doesn't instaneously go from perfectly fine to implosion pressure.
Also, while they descended, wouldn't problems become evident? Were they really descending so fast that it went from fine to buh-bye that quickly?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 23, 2023 3:56 AM |
R38 I can’t find the link but I read a report earlier that said they were actually ascending when they lost contact. So it’s possible they knew something was going wrong, tried to get back to the surface, but the bull failed before they could. They were already an hour and 45 mins into the 2ish hour descent.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 23, 2023 4:12 AM |
^the HULL failed. No bulls were harmed.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 23, 2023 4:12 AM |
The captain, or whatever he was, said that the window would start to crack, but stay intact due to some coating on it, before implosion. He claimed this would give enough warning time for them to ascend before anything serious happened.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 23, 2023 4:22 AM |
Its been reported their last communication was a distress signal so they knew something was up but who knows to what extent.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 23, 2023 4:23 AM |
Jesus. I’ve read only one book about the effects of what happens at different sea depths (can’t remember the title but very good!!!!) and I knew immediately that it imploded. I’m sure all the rescue forces knew it too.
Pressure builds exponentially after 10 feet or so. This book explained the physiological changes at different depths and how certain animals have adapted to it.
There’s another great book about free diving called Deep that explores water depth on humans.
This thing imploded under immense pressure and passengers imploded with it. Better than being stuck in that thing for days with dwindling oxygen.

The networks using the countdown clocks must now feel real stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 23, 2023 8:53 AM |
They don't feel stupid because they knew it was bullshit. They were cynically exploiting the situation for ratings.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 23, 2023 9:12 AM |
The Navy's job is to know if there's a sub in that part of the ocean. But they don't want anyone to know exactly what they know or how they know it. A reasonable guess though is that the Navy's known all along about the fate of the Titan.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 23, 2023 11:07 AM |
I don't know why anyone is surprised/upset that it was understood that these people were dead on Sunday. If they came out and said this was hopeless straight out of the gate, what do we think would have happened? Uproar, then pressure to conduct a pointless search anyway. The search was always going to happen even if the outcome was a given, to suggest it is some kind of conspiracy or that the media can't be trusted for this reason is asinine.
