NHL star Cole Sillinger is forced to deny rumor that he cheated on Tate McRae after the Canadian pop
Cole Sillinger - a center for the Columbus Blue Jackets - has been forced to deny that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend and singer Tate McRae after the ex-couple reportedly broke up last year.
Clarifying matters on Instagram, Sillinger, 20, replied to a post by a meme account 'blind_ref_logic_', which has 142,000 followers, after it accused him of cheating on McRae, also 20.
'All false my guy,' Sillinger shared in the comments section.
The post was made up of a collage of four photos, including a snap of McRae and Sillinger, as well as a shot of the 'You Broke Me First' hitmaker at the NHL All-Star game this past weekend.
The post read: 'Step 1: Be Cole Sillinger. Step 2: Date out of your league (literally). Step 3: Cheat on her, jumpstarting her career. Step 4: She gets invited to the NHL All-Star game before you.'

McRae turned heads as the main solo act at the NHL All-Star game on Saturday at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The multi-platinum singer wore a custom, silver Kanya top and short with silver rhinestones with baggie tracksuit pants and light green sneakers.
McRae was also a celebrity captain for Team McKinnon, which was named after current Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan McKinnon.
She was one of three high-profile, Canadian artists at the game along with Justin Bieber and Michael Buble. Actor Will Arnett was also in attendance.
McRae and Sillinger reportedly started dating in late 2021, not long after her split with Jonny Hader, a former youth hockey player competing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
McRae was also named as a celebrity captain for Team McKinnon, which was captained by Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan McKinnon

Sillinger was drafted as the No. 12 pick of the 2021 NHL Draft by the Blue Jackets - his hometown.
The pair first got romantically involved soon after a mutual connection set them up on a date, according to Entertainment Tonight. It was shortly after Sillinger called McRae his 'celebrity crush'.
'He's one of my friend's friends, so it all worked out,' the singer said. 'It was really funny — I was like ''I can forever hold this over you till the day you die, that I was your celebrity crush.'''
The former couple reportedly called it quits in early 2023.
McRae is reportedly now dating Australian artist The Kid LAROI. The rumored celebrity couple was seen holding hands during the NHL All-Star game.
