Nick Kerr is the son of a professional basketball coach and a former player Steve Kerr who is the head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
Nick attended Torrey Pines High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego.
Nick played basketball for years as a point guard, following his father’s footsteps but could not make it to the NBA like his father.
He became an Intern Coach at the University of California. Later, he took the job at San Antonio Spurs as a film assistant.
His parents met on a blind date
His parents Steve and Margot Kerr, both attended the University of Arizona in 1985. They met on a blind date arranged by their mutual friend, Bruce Fraser, who played with Steve in the College basketball team.
