Wild Hearts: Find Lizard Blooms, Silken Thread, Simian Yin Organ Gems

In Wild Hearts, your weapons and armor keep you alive as you tackle the next giant Kemono the game offers. Upgrading your weapons and crafting new armor requires parts from the giant Kemono you hunt along with materials from each region you visit — stuff like ores or parts from small Kemono.

Why you’ll need Lizard Blooms, Silken Thread, and Simian Yin Organ Gems in Wild Hearts

You’ll open up the Wrack Blade: Rhododendron weapon upgrade path once you defeat your first Lavaback. The path adds some fire damage to your attacks, which is great against icy opponents like the Deathstalker. The upgrade to the Wrack Black: Rhododendron 2 (that adds the stamina-increasing Grab Master skill) requires three Simian Yin Organ Gems.

A bit after that, the next few armors you unlock require Simian Yin Organ Gems, Silken Thread, and Lizard Blooms in varying amounts. These armors include the Long Reed set, Veteran set (arguably the most versatile early-game armor), and the All-Black set.

Where to find Silken Thread and Simian Yin Organ Gems in Wild Hearts

The crafting and upgrade materials vary by region. Some crafting materials, like Mirrorstone and Lightstone, can be collected just by exploring the new regions you unlock. Other materials, like Crustaceous Moss or Pointed Scales, come from either killing or petting small Kemono — and the small Kemono you encounter vary by region, too.

You’ll get Lizard Blooms from both Springwatch and Nightshade Monitors. You’ll find Springwatch Monitors in Harugasumi Way, the first area you explore. Nightshade Monitors show up in chapter two, “Ancient Technology,” in Akikure Canyon. Both will drop Lizard Blooms every time you pet them and some of the times you kill them.

However, both of these Monitors release a cloud of poison when you (try to) pet them. If you try to pet them without some kind of Poison Resistance skill, your attempt will fail. You can get the Antitoxin Skill by eating Akebia Fruit found in Akikure Canyon or from the Fresh Fern Sone-ate (boots) armor.

You’ll find Silken Tread as a normal material to pick up as you explore Akikure Canyon in the first half of chapter two. They look vaguely like light gray piles of rock.

In the second half of chapter two, you’ll reach the snowy Fuyufusagi Fort and find Gemcast Monkey small Kemono there. They’ll drop Simian Yin Organ Gems when you slay (murder) them, and Monkey Liquor when you pet them.
